MR Magazine is seeking blog submissions!
Model Republic is looking for original articles, reviews and stories for MR Magazine. You don't need to be an expert writer but the work does need to be your own.
Why submit to MR Magazine?
Model Republic is currently seeing a very healthy number of visitors every month and traffic is increasing at a steady pace. As a contributor to the blog, you get:

Submission Guidelines
Length and Format
Articles should be concise and vibrant and supplied via email in .doc or .docx format.
Links
If you want your post to be more interactive, include links in the body of your article. You can link to people, sites or other MR Blog articles.
Images
We encourage you to include the use of images to support and enhance your article. Images should be supplied in .jpg format and should be submitted along with your article. You are responsible to ensure we have permission to use the image(s).
Content and Style
We are looking for unique perspectives on a variety of topics that are vibrant and timely.
Articles should have family-friendly content and language and should be spell-checked and grammar-checked before submitting. Articles containing offensive content and/or excessive profanity will be avoided.
Article Structure
Include the following basic elements in your article:
- Headline - make it short and interesting!
- Subhead (optional)
- Main article body (NOTE: remember all the lessons from high school English class? Forget most of them but read on):
- Start with a catchy introduction to grab the reader's attention and tell them the purpose of the article. This can be one sentence!
- The middle is where you lay out the juicy information about your topic. This might be 1, 2, 3 or 4 paragraphs but remember your reader is on-line so they may be limited for time (lingering boss), or by eyestrain and attention span.
- End the article with an answer to, or recap of the introduction. Think about including a call-to-action. This can be short - 1 or 2 sentences. End on a high note.
- Image(s), caption(s) (if relevant) and photo credit(s)
- Your own credits! (See below for guidelines)
What should you write about?
Our target audience includes models, photographers, stylists, makeup artists, fashion designers and/or retailers, and generally speaking, anyone involved in the fashion and/or beauty industries so submissions should be of interest to those groups.
Broad topic categories are:

- Tips

We recommend you suggest tags for your article that are relevant and suitable for search engine optimization. Tags should be provided at the bottom of your article.
Credits
If we accept your article for publishing on MR Magazine, we will give you full credit for your work. The exact format and placement of the credit is subject to MR Magazine's discretion.
To ensure you are properly credited, please submit your contact information with the article including:
- Your first and last name
- Your current location (city, province/state, country)
- Your personal website URL and/or MR portfolio name
- The titles and URLs of any articles you have previously written
- Your current employer and their URL
- Your current job title
- (optional) A photo of yourself in JPEG format

Compensation
At the current time, contributors will be compensated in-kind through a contributor's credit (described above) and a complimentary upgrade to the contributor's account to MR Champion level. In certain cases, we will run a complimentary advertisement on the Model Republic website (promoting the contributor's business/services) for as long as the writer is contributing. Credits, upgrades and advertisements are subject to MR Magazine approval and are non-transferable. In all instances, you acknowledge and agree that MR Magazine has no current or future obligation to monetarily compensate you for your submission.
Editing and Revisions
All articles submitted to Model Republic will be proofread and edited if necessary. Most changes are very minor and are limited to spelling, grammar, and consistency with the voice of MR Magazine.

Republishing Permissions
Permission to republish articles on MR Magazine should be requested by contacting the editor. Authors automatically obtain permission to republish their articles on their own personal or corporate website.
